Faith Canright grew up deep in the heart of Texas as the daughter of a Bible church pastor and a gifted mother who taught her to read at four. By first grade, she was already devouring books at a fourth-grade level. At ten, inspired by her teacher Mrs. Christine Ferguson, she wrote her first short story—a mystery—and never stopped chasing words.
Through public school, Faith poured herself into poetry and short stories, eventually entering college as an English major under the mentorship of Dr. Shirley Thomas. Family expectations nudged her toward practicality, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree instead.
Over the years, Faith wore many hats—nutrition educator, long-term care consultant, entrepreneur, software quality assurance manager, and even international quilter. Her business world revolved around technical writing, but her heart never left the page. Eventually, she traded corporate deadlines for creative ones.
Today, Faith is an award-winning, multi-published author and oft-requested editor living in the misty Pacific Northwest. She writes full-time, crafting short fiction and weaving together the twists of a murder mystery novel. A proud member of The Creative Academy for Writers, Faith believes in stories that grip the mind and stir the soul. She is a lifelong follower of Jesus.
