BIOGRAPHY

Faith Canright grew up in Texas, the child of a Bible church pastor. Her talented mother taught her to read at the age of 4, and in the first grade she tested at a fourth grade reading level. She consumed every book she could lay her hands on and wrote her first short story, a mystery, at the age of ten, thanks to a teacher, Mrs. Christine Ferguson.

Continuing her creative life writing poetry and short stories throughout public school, Faith entered college with a major in English, mentored by Dr. Shirley Thomas. To please her family, she changed her focus and earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

Faith lived in six states through her multiple careers as a nutrition educator, long-term care consultant, entrepreneur, software quality assurance manager, and international quilter. She spent her business life as a technical writer. Eventually, she left all that behind and concentrated her talent and her time on poetry and fiction. Published in several anthologies with appearances in another collection forthcoming, Faith now writes full time and lives in the Pacific Northwestern United States. She is currently creating short fiction and crafting a murder mystery novel. She is a member of The Creative Academy for Writers and a follower of Jesus.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.“ John 3:16 NKJV
